We are excited to announce a new update to our PA System Pro, our professional IP Audio Software designed for modern IP-based broadcasting needs. This enhancement brings more flexibility and intelligence to your IP PA System, making zone management easier and more adaptable to real-world scenarios. In response to customer requirements, our development team has introduced Workday and Holiday settings within the Schedule module, an improvement especially helpful in environments such as schools, offices, and commercial buildings equipped with IP Speakers.

A Smarter Way to Manage Zone Schedules in Your IP PA System

To access the updated feature, simply select a zone and click the icon at the top-left corner to open the Schedule settings. PA System Pro supports four scheduling modes: Once Only, Daily, Weekly, Monthly.

For many applications—particularly in campus environments where IP Speakers are widely used—the Weekly mode is the most commonly applied. Users typically configure schedules to run on weekdays and disable them on weekends. However, real-life operations often require adjustments due to holidays, special events, or temporary working days.

This is where the new Workday and Holiday settings show their value.

Workday Setting: Execute Schedules on Special Working Days

By clicking Workday at the bottom-left corner of the Schedule window, users can view the current year’s calendar (with the option to change the year). By selecting any date, users can mark it as a Workday.

Once a date is set as a Workday, the schedule will execute even if it is not included in the original schedule configuration.

This is particularly useful for: Weekend make-up days at schools, Special working days at offices, Adjusted operational days in facilities using an IP PA System

Holiday Setting: Prevent Schedules From Running on Holidays

Likewise, clicking Holiday allows users to mark specific dates as holidays.

Once selected as a Holiday, the schedule will not execute even if that date is originally included in the schedule.

This ensures: No announcements on national holidays, No automated broadcasts during school breaks, No unwanted playback through your IP Speakers during special closure days.
